Ski and snow conditions.

Trans Pennine has been summer skiing in Kaprun for many years and so are able to give reliable information on the skiing conditions. Firstly the ski area is on a glacier, ski lifts are open from 9am to 4pm, there are no lift queues and the slopes are suitable for all abilities. Very good for those who are new to skiing/boarding.

There will be snow. Snow conditions can vary greatly from day to day, if it's hot and sunny the best skiing is in the morning, contrasting this there can be fresh snow and powder skiing (yes powder skiing in June is possible!).

This is an ideal opportunity to extend the skiing season, it's a long time to next winter!

Travel and Accommodation.

Travel is by coach, departing from the North West Friday evening (various pick-up points en-route to Folkestone or Dover) arriving in Kaprun on Saturday.
Staying at a family run hotel which has been used by the club for 20 years.
